Baked Salmon

Alaska, the 49th state, celebrated 50 years of statehood in 2009. Salmon fill the streams and rivers at various times throughout the summer. Whether you love to fish or just want to feed your family, salmon is a staple Alaskan food. It may be baked in the oven or on the grill, smoked, made into dips, patties or added to casseroles. When the runs are plentiful, fish is frozen or canned for our long winters.
