Cindy Davies (NM), Western Region Director

Greetings from the Land of Enchantment! My name is Cindy Schlenker Davies and I am the 2012-2014 Western Region Director.  I live in Albuquerque with my husband of 27 years and we have 3 sons in their 20’s.

I have been in the FCS field for over 30 years as a FCS teacher in Washington State and as a child care specialist for the state of New Mexico. I have worked for New Mexico State Univ. Cooperative Extension Service for the past 8 years serving as the County Home Economist in Albuquerque for the past 5 years. I do so enjoy the work of being a county FCS agent, such opportunity for learning and creative instruction!

When New Mexico hosted the annual session in 2011 I became very involved in the planning and it was so much fun I have just kept going!  In 2012 I was the NM affiliate president attending the JCEP and PILD events.  The opportunities to serve in NEAFCS are all around you and I do encourage you to get involved with your state affiliates and a national committee.  It’s a great way to connected and make new friends with wonderful NEAFCS professionals all over the county.

I look forward to meeting many more of you and hope to see you all at Galaxy in September and in Kentucky in 2014!
