NEAFCS will provide 14 scholarships covering the full registration cost of $495 each to assist NEAFCS members in attending the 2025 JCEP Extension Leadership Conference being held February 19-20 in Savannah, GA. These scholarships will be awarded to the designee as described below.

In addition to the 14 scholarships noted above, NEAFCS will also award 2 scholarships to presenters of ELC (pending proposal acceptance). Once the proposal process has closed, a committee will review submissions by NEAFCS members and notify the recipients prior to the early bird registration deadline.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Scholarships will be awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • This scholarship is to assist the Affiliate President and/or President-Elect to attend the JCEP Leadership Conference. If the Affiliate President and/or President-Elect are unable to attend, the Affiliate may designate an individual to attend on their behalf.
  • Only one (1) scholarship will be awarded per Affiliate. Preference will be given to first-time attendees.
  • NEAFCS members can receive only one (1) scholarship to attend the JCEP Extension Leadership Conference per year, even if they hold membership in more than one association that may offer a scholarship.
  • Attendance is required at all general sessions and all NEAFCS sessions during JCEP Extension Leadership Conference.

Registration & Issuing of Scholarship Funds:

  • Scholarship recipients will be notified before the ELC Early Bird Registration deadline so they can take advantage of the discounted registration rate of $495.
  • NEAFCS will issue funds directly to JCEP ONLY if you follow this process - Scholarship recipients must register with JCEP prior to the early-bird deadline.  Select to pay via check and email your registration invoice to NEAFCS directly ([email protected]).
  • For those who do not send NEAFCS their open JCEP invoice prior to the early bird deadline must pay JCEP DIRECTLY at the time of registering.  These recipients can then request the funds post-ELC ONCE their reflections statement has been received. Scholarships are paid directly to recipients by NEAFCS.
  • Following the JCEP Extension Leadership Conference, all scholarship recipients will compose a short reflective paragraph about their ELC experience which will be posted on the NEAFCS website and included in future NEAFCS news articles.
